وَالْفَجْرِ
-
وَلَیَالٍ عَشْرٍ
-
وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ
-
وَاللَّیْلِ إِذَا یَسْرِ
-
هَلْ فِی ذَلِکَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِی حِجْرٍ
In the name of God, the Mercy-giving the Merciful!
By the Daybreak (1)
and ten nights (2)
and the even and the odd, (3)
and night as it journeys on, (4)
does that not contain an oath for someone who is mindful? (5)
-
أَلَمْ تَرَ کَیْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّکَ بِعَادٍ
-
إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ
-
الَّتِی لَمْ یُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِی الْبِلَادِ
-
وَثَمُودَ الَّذِینَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ
-
وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِی الْأَوْتَادِ
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with "§d, (6)
[the people of] ŸIram, possessing columns (7)
whose like had never been created in the land? (8)
And Tham«d who carved rock out of the valley; (9)
and Pharaoh wielding kingpins (10)
-
الَّذِینَ طَغَوْا فِی الْبِلَادِ
-
فَأَکْثَرُوا فِیهَا الْفَسَادَ
-
فَصَبَّ عَلَیْهِمْ رَبُّکَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ
-
إِنَّ رَبَّکَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ
-
فَأَمَّا الْإِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَکْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَیَقُولُ رَبِّی أَکْرَمَنِ
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with "§d, (6)
[the people of] ŸIram, possessing columns (7)
whose like had never been created in the land? (8)
And Tham«d who carved rock out of the valley; (9)
and Pharaoh wielding kingpins (10)
-
وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَیَقُولُ رَبِّی أَهَانَنِ
-
کَلَّا بَل لَّا تُکْرِمُونَ الْیَتِیمَ
-
وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْکِینِ
-
وَتَأْکُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَکْلًا لَّمًّا
-
وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا
while whenever He tests him by rationing His sustenance for him, he says: "My Lord has disgraced me." (16)
Rather you are not generous with the orphan (17)
nor do you promote feeding the needy, (18)
and greedily use up anything you inherit. (19)
You love money till it"s brimming over! (20)
-
کَلَّا إِذَا دُکَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَکًّا دَکًّا
-
وَجَاء رَبُّکَ وَالْمَلَکُ صَفًّا صَفًّا
-
وَجِیءَ یَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ یَوْمَئِذٍ یَتَذَکَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّکْرَى
-
یَقُولُ یَا لَیْتَنِی قَدَّمْتُ لِحَیَاتِی
-
فَیَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا یُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ
Indeed when the earth has been completely flattened out (21)
and your Lord comes with the angels, row upon row, (22)
and brings up Hell on that day; on that day everyman will remember, as if remembrance even matters to him! (23)
He will say: "It"s too bad for me! What did I send on ahead during my lifetime?" (24)
On that day, no one will torment [anyone] with torment like His, (25)
-
وَلَا یُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ
-
یَا أَیَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ
-
ارْجِعِی إِلَى رَبِّکِ رَاضِیَةً مَّرْضِیَّةً
-
فَادْخُلِی فِی عِبَادِی
-
وَادْخُلِی جَنَّتِی
and no one will hold to any agreement as he will hold to His! (26)
O Tranquil soul, (27)
return to your Lord well pleased and pleasing [Him]! (28)
Enter among My servants, (29)
and enter My garden. (30)
